Raising $ to Purchase a Vehicle for the Palmers!

Hey friends of Phil & LaShon Palmer,

I am reaching out to you as I would love if you’d pray about making a donation to purchase a vehicle for the Palmer Family.

My name is John Ferreira. I have walked with and served alongside Phil and LaShon over the last 4 years and have witnessed their love for Jesus and His people. I work at Urban Youth Collaborative where Phil has been volunteering alongside us for the last 3 years to serve the youth of El Cajon City.

As you may or may not know, Phil and Lashon have been going through life with one vehicle while managing all of life. They have had two different jobs, serving the church faithfully as deacons, running the food distribution ministry, volunteering with Urban Youth Collaborative investing in the next generation at schools, and faithfully discipling young men and others all while parenting their son through his teen years.

We’d love to support them in this next season by getting their family a reliable vehicle for their daily needs that has space to take students to different youth events.

There are a few times this last semester where Phil can’t be somewhere, or he has to arrange transportation, because they have one vehicle, and we’d love to help them out in that process.

Michelle (my wife) and I have a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with 70,000 miles that we have been looking to sell since December, but haven’t felt right about selling until we get something for the Palmers. We can’t think of anyone else more deserving of the vehicle than Phil and LaShon. The Hyundai Santa Fe Kelly Blue Books for about $17,500, It has new breaks, relatively new tires, and we got an oil leak and back seat fixed recently. It seats 7 total and is in great condition.

Can we raise $15k to give it to them?

We have raised $6,715 as of March 10 2024.

Our final push of fundraising is in its last two weeks and we need to raise the funds by March 24.

Another couple has offered to give their 08 Toyota Corolla if we can’t raise the total. If that is the case then we will spend some of the money donated on making sure the Corolla is fixed up and give them a check for the remaining balance.
