About Liz
Liz was a warm, funny, generous, happy, and loving person. She would greet you with a smile.
If she saw a problem, she would try to fix it, to be a part of the solution. Liz also had a silly side, a great sense of humor, and she often made other people smile with her antics. Liz cared deeply and just wanted people to be happy. She considered everybody a friend.
Liz was a 501st Legion member (Star Wars costuming group). She loved dressing up as a Biker Scout and visiting children in local hospitals - bringing joy and comfort where it was needed most. She was always happy to put on a costume to bring joy and smiles at a parade, the Texas Renaissance Festival or other community events. Her decision to be an organ donor saved 4 lives and provided a fifth person with the precious gift of sight. The recipients had spent a total of 8,144 days (22.31 years) waiting for their transplants.

The family is seeking the help of the community in raising money to supplement the Crime Stoppers of Houston reward solely for the purpose of charging &/or arresting the individual responsible for the murder of Elizabeth Nuelle Barraza. This GoFundMe page has been created in hopes of bringing our family the justice we so rightfully deserve. Donations via this GoFundMe will be transferred to Crime Stoppers of Houston on or about January 21, 2022, in order to be available for the announcement at the press conference on January 25th. In the interest of transparency, the Nuelle family will provide, on request, proof of this transfer to Crime Stoppers of Houston.
We are all Seeking Justice:
On Friday, January 25th, 2019, our wonderful daughter Liz was senselessly murdered by person(s) unknown while setting up for a garage sale in Tomball, Texas. Friends quickly established a GoFundMe to raise money to increase the $5,000 reward being offered by Crime Stoppers of Houston. The Peter Mayhew Foundation topped off the fundraising to $15,000. The $20,000 reward has been available for nearly three years.
Today, her parents, acting on the advice of District Attorney Kim Ogg, Victims Advocate Andy Kahan from Crime Stoppers of Houston, and with the encouragement of the two detectives working her case are starting a new fundraiser. We will raise the reward in time for a January 25th, 2022, press conference on the 3rd anniversary of her murder. We are confident that the increased reward will help deliver new tips to the Crime Stoppers tip line. It is time to end this investigation, arrest those responsible, and bring them to justice.

We have been working to focus attention on her case, to reach the person(s) who know something. The case has been widely featured in the media, appearing locally on a regular basis. We have had segments on Good Morning America, Inside Edition, America's Most Wanted, People Magazine, and we are working on a full 1-hour episode with the Investigation Discovery series On the Case with Paula Zahn to air later this year.
