Raising strength & support for Heather

Hi my name is Kourtney and I’m the one actually running this campaign for my precious little sister.

Heather, needs our support more than ever.

So to our friends, family and any kind-hearted souls that know my baby sister.

I'm reaching out to you today with the so much love and concern for her. My heart aches to see her facing yet another difficult chapter in her young life, and I'm hoping our village can offer her some much-needed support.

As many of you know, Heather has already navigated more than her share of hardship. From her accident years ago to the deep and ongoing sorrow of losing our Daddy in their motorcycle accident, she carries burdens that no person should have to bear. She faces these mental and physical challenges with incredible strength and resilience daily, but my heart breaks knowing the added stress she's under now.

Recently, in January, Heather experienced a serious seizure while at work – a job she truly enjoys at our local nursing home. This frightening event has had a significant impact on her health and her ability to live her daily life.

Adding to this worry, recent medical testing, prompted by persistent headaches, and her fall revealed a small tumor on the right side of her head, although believed to be benign and stable at the moment. It creates pressure affecting her balance, causing migraines that last days. This diagnosis means more medical appointments, further extended EEG testing to determine an amount of seizure activity and further MRI scans to watch for any signs of growth. This sadly means a temporary to indefinite leave from the work she loves. She will be put on a stronger anti-seizure medication and possible immunotherapy. A biopsy and removal will also need to be done if growth has been determined in the next 6-8 weeks.

As her sister, it's incredibly difficult to watch her go through this, especially knowing all she's already faced.

The sudden loss of her income, coupled with the need for Shane to take time off work to care for her and drive her to appointments as well as managing raising my precious niece Sece. This has created a significant financial strain on their young family.

That's why I'm reaching out to you today. I'm asking for your kindness and generosity to help my sweet sister during this challenging time. Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards:

* Helping to cover the growing medical expenses that their insurance doesn't fully cover as well as travel expenses she will need in the future.

* Providing essential financial support for their household while Heather is unable to work and Shane needs to take off and be by her side and for her appointments.

* Easing the financial burden so they can focus on Heather's health and the well-being of their baby girl without this added worry.
