A Heartfelt Thank You – An Update on King and Mo

We would like to extend our deepest and most sincere thanks to every single person who donated, shared, and supported us during this heartbreaking time.

Because of your incredible generosity, preparations have now been made to bring our beloved King and Mo home, so they may be layed to rest with the love, dignity, and peace they so deeply deserve.

We want to let everyone know that we are no longer accepting donations, and no further GoFundMe pages will be created in relation to this. Please be mindful and cautious of any unofficial pages.

To everyone who has reached out, sent a message, made a donation, or simply held us in your thoughts — please know that your kindness has not gone unnoticed. The parents of King and Mo have been profoundly moved by the outpouring of love and support from the community. It has brought light to an otherwise dark and devastating time, and has reminded us how deeply the boys were loved by so many.

They touched lives, brought people together, and left an impression that will never fade. Their families are so proud of the impact they had in their short time with us.

Funeral arrangements are now being made, and we will be in touch again soon to share details for those who wish to join us in saying a final goodbye and paying their respects.

In the meantime, we kindly ask that everyone respects the families’ privacy and gives us the space to grieve and prepare in peace.

In Loving Memory of Mo (27) and King (29)

On what was meant to be a joyful holiday in Portugal, our two dear friends Mo and King tragically lost their lives less than 24 hours after arriving. What was supposed to be sunshine and laughter turned into heartbreak no one could have imagined.

Mo, 27, and King, 29, were more than friends to us. They were brothers to many. Gentle, kind-hearted souls who brought light into every room they entered. The kind of people who would drop everything to help you, no questions asked. They were warm, loyal, funny and full of dreams. The sort of men you never hear a bad word about because there simply were none.

They were deeply devoted to their families, their friends and their faith. And now, all of that has been taken so suddenly and so unfairly.

Their families are now facing every parent’s worst nightmare and on top of that, the overwhelming cost of bringing their sons home. The total cost to return both Mo and King to the UK is over £10,000. Repatriation involves complex legal paperwork, international funeral care and transportation costs no family is ever prepared for, especially not under such heartbreaking circumstances.

We are asking from the bottom of our hearts for your help.
