Hi, my name is Ryan Jackson proud citizen of Carriacou. I have 20-plus years of building experience.

I am sure you have heard and seen the devastation of my beautiful Island (see video above). I hope that I can raise enough funds to help the residents of Carriacou.

I plan to send roofing materials, generators, and Skylink equipment (so the residents of Carriacou can communicate with their families).

I am flying to Carriacou on the 20th of July, and with team a of people, I plan to remove all debris from as many homes as we can and to weatherproof all suitable homes to provide all people who are at temporary shelter with alternative accommodation. It is imperative to cover all suitable homes now before the new weather system comes in. The houses that are covered can receive a generator and a Skylink system so food can be provided for the area and wifi can be accessed for the community. Without immediate preventative measures, all frozen foods will go off which will be a waste of resources at this critical time. We must salvage all galvanized roofing, de-nail, and use on buildings with immediate effect.

This is a difficult time for all but together we can carve out a better future for all. The government will do what it can, but us with family there right, now cannot wait. So I'm sending materials over that are needed. It will get there in 2 weeks upon shipping. In the meantime, those who are able will be a part of the cleanup process. I will work night and day for the country I call home. I am completely devastated by what has happened and feel helpless. I am funding what I can at the moment, but to make a significant impact I need help. I don't know who can see this, but if you want to help we need as much of it as we can. I'm a proud man and never normally ask for help, but even I can see I cannot solve this situation on my own. Thank you in advance I'm about to put in some 18-hour days and I will not stop working until Carriacou is back on its feet.

Action must take place now, anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
