I am Not going to be silent anymore- I want to give strength to others out there.

I have come out of a terrible domestic abusive relationship that went on for too long. The picture you see on the cover is not even 24hrs after the last physical abusive.

This is Not Love.

My daughter and I spent almost 8hrs in the hospital the night it happened.

My daughter 15yrs old has a concussion (still dealing with it 7weeks later) she received throat injuries from him choking her and her right knee was injured from him kicking it out from her. This was all because she tried to help me.

I have a concussion, broken cheekbone, fractured sternum, 5 broken ribs, fractured spine, fractures hip and fractured knee- Not counting the massive bruises all over. I still have what looks like dark circle under my eyes- which is what is left from the bruises to my face 7 weeks later.

I have filed an EPO- Emergency Protection Order against him.

Unfortunately, he is contesting the EPO which is causing some large lawyer bills trying to fight it and make sure it stays.

No he was not charged that night (I know How can that be??)

The RCMP have reopened the case and are getting ready to press charges as well as the officers involved that night are under investigation for mis-handling.

Due to him not being charged right away and now me having to fight to keep the Emergency Protection Order in place and have a lawyer to help and with criminal charges being placed on him- I have to have a lawyer to represent me and my daughter. (Yes had he been charged the night I wouldn't have to have a lawyer)

Unfortunately- I was ( and I say was As I am free now) the classic abused wife- I was living an abusive relationship- Physical, Verbal, Emotion and Financial. He had me leave me very great job last year as another form of control and abuse and controlled all finances leaving me with nothing. While I have managed to scrap (and scrap really is the word) money to keep roof over our head and put food on the table, It leaves nothing extra. My lawyer is being kind and not pressing for money before working with me however the bill is getting up there.

I am hoping I can reach out to you and even if just $5 , every little bit helps.

He is going to fight this as this is now his 5th assault charge ( Yes again I know How was he not charged that night.)

As a direct result of the assault on the evening , I have sustained serious physical injuries- Since that night I have experienced persistent complications from my injuries and the mental trauma has been horrible. My daughter, who is a straight A honor role student in high school - was unable to attend school for almost a month from her concussion (he hit her with a hammer in the back of the head and punched her) somehow she managed to return to school catch up and still keep her grades up. She still continues to experience significant an ongoing psychological distress as a result.

I am hoping by sharing my story, Not staying quite and showing my face I will give strength to others out there.

I am just looking to cover lawyer cost- anything over and above will be donated to charity to help those in abusive situations.

Men who hit women are Not men.

The who enable it and protect those people are just as much an abuser as they support the actions. Men who hurt women hate women.

I want to raise my daughter in a world where she is safe and loved. Unfortunately my ex souse took that away from her.
