Sara Lynn Klebig was diagnosed with ovarian cancer three years ago. After chemo, radiation, and surgeries Sara thought she had won her battle and continued enjoying life with the love of her life for the past 23 years, Marshall Fitch, their Rotweiller/Lab mix, Max and their two cats, Heidi and Buddy. Later the cancer came back and was in her lymph nodes but again Sara being the spunky woman she was again fought hard and seemed well again. Recently,Sara was crushed when she found out the cancer had spread to her lungs; basically everywhere in her body. Sara was not a quitter and refused to give up; she was even willing to submit herself to trial treatments. Unfortunately it was beyond her control and Sara who was always putting others before herself, finally freed herself from the extreme pain she was in and let go as Marshall held her. Besides Marshall and her beloved pets, Sara had a fabulous obsession of shoes, a fascination for bats, and a particular love of the beach! For the past eight years, Sara was lucky enough to have a job as an administrative assistant for a task force at the City of Madison Police Department in Wisconsin. Sara loved working there and had a special place in her heart for the people she worked with. Sara had family close by in Wisconsin including her sister Linda, Aunt Sandy and nieces and nephews that she adored. In California and Alabama, Sara had Marshall's family that could not have chosen a more special partner for Marshall than Sara was. Sara has made so many good friends everywhere she has lived. We are all fortunate to have our own personal memories of Sara's smile, laugh and the good times we had with her over the years. I think one thing we can agree on is there is no one else like Sara!
