Raising money in loving memory of Louise

Louise, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend, has been using Makaton in her work for many years to support young children’s communication. She was so passionate about it; she was a great signer and encouraged others to use it. Louise also used sign when her own communication was impacted during the last year. We are raising money in aid of The Makaton Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

The Makaton Charity: Speech is the most powerful way we communicate. Yet some people are not able to talk and need a helping hand. Makaton is a combination of signing (gestures) and symbols (pictures) with speech. Getting people talking is just the beginning though, because Makaton has the power to change lives. It's not just about language, it's about breaking down the isolation people feel when they can't speak. It's about turning their world into a more connected and welcoming place. It's about giving everyone a voice.
