Raising Money for Versus Arthritis

My daughter, Martha, was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) three years ago. She’s had excellent care from staff at the Children’s Hospital, with treatment to manage her symptoms. At one of her hospital appointments she was introduced to staff from Versus Arthritis Scotland, who run the Versus Arthritis Young People and Families Service (YPFS).

The YPFS provides one-to-one support and peer support through a variety of social events, themed weekends, workshops and an arts programme. The events provide opportunities to meet other young people with arthritis, building friendships and reducing isolation, and supporting participants to increase their understanding of what can be a long-term and painful condition.

Being part of YPFS has been incredibly helpful for Martha, so I’m raising funds to support their work. I’m doing the Midnight Marathon in Wales (https://www.brutalevents.co.uk/midnight-mountain-marathon) on 1st June. Any donations would very gratefully appreciated!
