Ed Martin was a member of the DC SOLID team for 2 years. He was a key factor in our success at The Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center where he worked closely with Xavier Zapata and Haywood Colson on a daily basis. An avid Washington Redskins fan with the brightest smile, he wore many hats and was always willing to help whenever and wherever there was a need, and choosing to see the bright side of every situation. His radiant smile was never bigger than when he spoke of his wife of 20+ years and 12 year old daughter. Ed was taken from us all far too early at the age of 52 and will be sorely missed by all. His family’s loss is unimaginable and they surely need our help during this challenging time.
