Hi All.
So most of you know Rob from either the Fire service, His old days at Rugby, a friend of his or if your really lucky you may know him from his strange but oddly entertaining dancing skills (His stag do in Wales)
So you may be asking why I've set up a go fund me for Rob. He has been recently diagnosed with Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma stage 11b, This is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This is when the T-cells (White blood cells) that fight infections become abnormal and attack the skin. Under 350 people in the UK get diagnosed with this each year. Scientists still do not know what causes this. Rob has now started Chemo therapy and this will be going on for 12 weeks. Due to the rarity of Robs condition he has to travel to Guys and St Thomas Hospital in London to have treatment. Should Chemo be successful then stem cell treatment will be looked into. Mark and myself will be the first to try this as we are siblings and have a higher chance to match with Rob. We are asking for any donations to help fund Rob with travel and day to day living as well as accommodation while he stays away for his treatment. Also if anyone is interested in possibly being shortlisted to be a Stem-cell donor this would also be greatly appreciated .Thank you from Carol, Mark and Paul
