A year ago, a devastating accident left my grandpa's life in the hands of the surgeons, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapist, caregivers at the Percy Training Hospital of the Armies in Clamart near Paris. After suffering severe burns, he spent three months in an induced coma and underwent countless procedures over an 11-month period. Thanks to his remarkable will to survive and an inspiring tenacity that we should all strive to have, he is now home and working toward his full recovery.
It was his mental and physical strength that helped him through this ordeal, but he also had the unwavering support of a dedicated medical team that demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to his care. To say that the team was incredible is an understatement.
Our family will forever be grateful to the staff at Percy, which is why I aim to raise as much as possible for the "Service des Grands Brûlés," thanks to your generous donations.
With a little help from my family I will use my mental and physical strength to commit to 3000 pushups during the month of January.
Please help us raise as much as possible for this incredible unit!
