Hi guys,
Nataša a kindergarten teacher from Ukraine is currently staying in our home in Slovakia. She is there with her five year old daughter Sašuna and her little three year old boy Jurij. They are very sweet children, exploring every little corner of the house while being so well behaved and grateful ❤️.
They are from a city in Ukraine that is very close to the border with Belarus where some of the first bombing took place. Natasa's dad drove them to the border, where my mum's cousin picked them up and brought them to our home town Banska Bystrica. Their dad is in Ukraine, safe and speaking to them daily. They came over with very little and big hopes to return to their home within a few weeks. They've split with Natasa's sister in law and her children that decided to go to their acquaintances in Poland. As far as I know, they don't have anyone else around in Slovakia.
Natasha doesn't have much money, but my mum and mum's cousin are doing an amazing job trying to help as much as they can. It's very hard to predict what will happen next and when they will be able to reunite with their family. There is a big communication barrier, luckily my mum's cousin speaks ukrainian and translates when he is able to come around.
When I've told some of you about the situation, you've asked me how you could help Natasha - I've asked the same and thought raising money and helping to take some of the weight off her shoulders is probably the best thing to do.
Thank you
