Hi , I am raising money for my dad , Steve , as on the 24th of November he bought a motorbike, he had it for 45 minutes and was 5 minutes away from home before the bad weather caused him to crash into the central reservation and write off the bike . He got taken to Sheffield hospital and had life saving surgery as soon as he got there. He has to get put onto critical care and into a medical coma for days , they kept trying to wake him up but he wasn’t taking well or strong enough to breathe by himself . He has broken the whole right side of his body and had to have multiple operations on his leg arm and hand with a total of roughly just over 70 hours of surgery . Taking a massive toll on his mental health for being in hospital for 3 months and not being able to do the things he loves like working , playing cricket , going miles on n bike rides he was such an active man . He has been home for a few months and trying to adapt to this new life , Now my mum is his full carer and After thinking he is getting better and better we have now had the news that he needs even more surgery for a knee replacement and ligament surgery . This money will go towards more advanced medical equipment, mobility and adapting the house to his needs for example ramps / stair lifts . It has totally crushed our whole family and changed all of our lives for the whole family being such a change to his life . We appreciate every penny that is donated
