ive been updating Facebook but not here. I get confused on this phone sometimes. I’m so very sorry.

Its been a whirlwind of doctors and tests and surgeries for me. And recovery. I was in a wheelchair for over 6 months. Now I use a walker very slowly.

My next surgery is March 26th at Victoria Hospital in London. Hopefully I can walk out and don’t need my wheelchair again.

Im so low on funds as Cancer isnt cheap and Ostomy is very expensive to say the least.

Now I need help with Ostomy reversal the end of the month. More parking, gas, food, medication etc. please find it in your heart to spare a few dollars.

update Aug 4/25

Still fighting hard but I’m extremely tired and in so much pain. The doctor has raised my pain meds and also given me a prescription for gravol for the nausea.

Oncologist I see in about 3 weeks to find out the next steps. I’ll update again then all I find out. Looks like Chemo, Radiation and medication. Funds are quite bad and we are praying for more donations to get us through this. Any amount helps. Please find it in your heart to please make a donation.

Hi. I’m Karen. I’m 54 years old and my husband is Harry who just turned 72.

We have moved from London to Thedford mainly because of my dear Mum so we can be closer to her and it’s cheaper to rent. Unfortunately I have been hit with bad luck for my health this year.

I underwent life saving surgery on Feb 27/25 at 1:30 am for a perforated bowel in 2 places. Surgery was long and expenses ran high. 5 months later I still have an ostomy bag for waste and will need surgery to reverse it. Thankful to still be here tho.

Unfortunately I have also been diagnosed with Breast Cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes and I underwent another surgery on May 28/25 for a radical mastectomy of my left breast. The surgeries were 3 months apart. I had to wait to heal from colonoscopy before mastectomy.

Now I am recovering at home, with daily nurse visits, with my husband Harry and ginger cat called Tigger. It has been a tough year for us so far and I have yet to undergo surgery to reverse the colonoscopy in around 3 months time and have a mastectomy on my right breast at the same time hopefully. If not that will be another surgery yet again.

Expenses have mounted up daily with medication parking meals food (certain diet) equipment as I use a walker full time now, wheelchair is ordered and much more.

it saddens me to have to do a GoFundMe for myself but our expenses have far exceeded our income. We just can’t manage alone and need help desperately.

100% of the money will be put toward my Cancer and Ostomy expenses.
