Raising money for Kroka Wilderness semester

For those of you who don't know me my name is Maya. I am 17 years old, going into my senior year of high school. I am very invested in nature, as well as activism, and various types of art. I have lived in New England for almost all of my life and have gotten to see the beautiful things nature has to teach. I have often had trouble having to sit inside for six hours a day in school, so after finding out about the new semester Kroka has to offer, I jumped at the opportunity to apply, and have been accepted to this awesome expedition starting in August.
The expedition is named Roaring Canyons. During the four months we will learn a variety of crafts and skills that are very unique. We will learn to paddle on white water, with which I have had experience in the past on a different Kroka expedition. Our boats and bodies will bring us on 700 kilometers of white water. We will be traveling on the Utah, and then Colorado rivers. During our time we will also build our rock climbing and canyoneering skills. Since I was very young I have wanted to partake in a Kroka semester program. My family has been involved with Kroka for many years, so I have gotten to see many others partake in them. I have also been involved with activism for many years and am very invested in climate justice and giving back to the Earth. It would be amazing to travel by boat and work with Mother Earth. I believe this expedition would be a fabulous learning experience, so I have this to ask for your help! Thank you all for reading this story.
