As the country recognized last month October 2021 as Domestic Violence Awareness month, our family lost my niece Jordan Grace Ball to a tragic domestic violence act at the hands of her two-year-old daughter‘s father.

Jordan was killed around 5:30 PM Saturday, October 23, 2021.  My sister Leslye (Jordan‘s mother) did not get her granddaughter from Child  Protective Services (CPS) until 11:30 PM Sunday night October 24, 2021. 

We cannot imagine what could have been going through this young two-year-old’s mind being in the midst of of nothing but strangers. 

Due to this tragic event, Jordan‘s mother (Leslye) must now raise her two-year-old granddaughter in love and the wonderful memories of her now deceased mother; starting all over again as a new mom. 

As she prepares to obtain full custody of her granddaughter, Leslye must now modify her home according to Department of Child and family services to be fully functional and safe to accommodate a full-time toddler as this will now be her new home. 

We are asking for assistance whether it be monetary, referrals, or service providers as Leslye needs the following; 

A pool fence, worn carpeting replaced, plumbing work, junk hauled away from the garage, kitchen electrical repairs, some roof work and more. 

No one in our family could have ever predicted or see this tragedy coming.
