Raising money for Sofia's funeral and her daughter

Hello everyone!

UPDATE: I wanted to provide you all with an update on Sofia's current situation. Unfortunately, Sofia is currently staying at the Hospice facility as her health has taken a turn for the worse. Her breast cancer has metastasized to her brain, expediting her illness. Despite trying various treatments, including clinical trials from Stanford, Sofia's condition continues to deteriorate. She is becoming weaker each week, struggling to communicate and eating very little.

In light of these circumstances, Sofia's daughter and I (her ex-husband) are reaching out to ask for your support during this difficult time. We kindly request donations towards Sofia's funeral expenses, with any remaining amount being contributed towards supporting her daughter, Vida.

My name is Sofia Sapojnikova, I live in Northern California, and I am here to raise money for my health treatment and cover my apartment rent cost. My current health status is Metastatic Breast Cancer. I just finished brain radiation and will begin new treatment. My first breast cancer diagnosis was in November 2016 and I beat it!!!

In the summer of 2020 cancer came back and it is stage 4 now. I had a very hard time dealing with the news, and now I am ready to beat it again! My friends and doctors say I am a warrior and I can do this. I believe in myself too and feel optimistic to beat this awful disease and live a healthy life.

To help me fully concentrate on my health and have a stress free environment, I decided to use this "go fund me" platform to raise money for my treatment, cover my everyday living expenses: apartment rent, medicine, for monthly bills and support my 18yr old daughter who is in college. I am currently on Social Security Disability and my income is extremely low. I do need financial help!

I am reaching out to all of you to ask you if you do have means to help, please do. If you don't, it is ok too, perhaps you can reach out to your network and ask your friends and colleagues on my behalf.
