Hi,
On the 19th of March 2022 I will be doing the 4x4x48 running challenge. This is running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. I will be doing this to raise money towards GamTalk UK.
GamTalk UK was founded by Paul Pettigrew after he became addicted to gambling at just 18 years old. After years of battling his addiction he managed overcome it and now wants to give back. Paul’s addiction caused him to lose opportunities in his football career, university and relationships.

Paul delivers personal and informative presentations to young people about the dangers of Gambling.
He does this because “Prevention is better than cure” and he delivers the presentations in schools and sports clubs around Scotland.
Gambling is very much a secret addiction where there are no physical symptoms so if you become addicted it can be very hard to reach out for the help you need. By supporting GamTalk and Paul hopefully a lot more young people will become more aware of the dangers of gambling and be reassured that there is help out there.
Gambling in football is attractively advertised, whether that be in stadiums, on shirts, online and even on your tv. With GamTalk Paul helps to share his personal experience and emphasise the dangers of gambling when it gets out of control, which none of the advertisements do.
