Hello, friends and family,
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been given a chance to go back and join a school trip to Japan this next summer!
As I enter my junior year of high school, I will be taking my fourth year of Japanese language class. Learning the language and exploring the culture has been incredibly rewarding, and I intend to pursue a degree to become a Japanese teacher in the future.
I had such an amazing time when I went to Japan last summer. Since then, it has been my mission to return. This trip includes an immersive homestay experience where I’ll live with a local family, attend a Japanese high school, and fully dive into the culture. Additionally, I will spend a week traveling around Japan, sightseeing, participating in cultural activities, and going on excursions.
With one trip under my belt, I plan to use this opportunity to explore potential avenues for living in Japan after high school. One of the highlights of this adventure is the chance to reconnect with some of the friends I made on my last trip, especially my host family and host sister.
