Raising Money for baby Koen VanDerDoes

I'm setting this up to help raise funds for my sister Jennifer Vanderdoes and nephew Koen. Koen was born December 23, 2022 and was sent immeadiately to London (3 hours away from home) since the hospital in Owen Sound was not experienced with his condition. Sadly has not yet been able to leave the hospital to return home...

Koen has chronic kidney disease, and will need a kidney transplant but cannot get one until age 2. After many promises of him being able to leave the hospital in previous weeks (he was stopped twice, due to contracting staff infections at the hospital) - we found out today he will need dialysis starting next week - which means he will be in the hospital for a minimum of 3 more months, and it could be much longer.

Thankfully my sister has been able to be with him this entire time. She is living in London at Ronald McDonald house (can't say enough good about this charity) so she can be there with Koen. In turn, she is not able to see her husband, or her other two other children who live 3 hours north of London. The money raised would be going toward the bills for her living accomodations (it does still cost $12/day to stay at Ronald McDonald house) added travel expense when her husband / kids do get to visit and future costs when he returns home from the hospital - as he will also need specialized care to conduct dialysis at home.

Anything you can give would help, but most of all we ask you just send your love & prayers for baby Koen to get through this very difficult start to his life so he can finally get home to be with his father, brother & sister.
