So, a little back story into why I’m doing this..

October last year I was diagnosed with RRMS. After almost a year of continuous misdiagnoses, (Dysplasia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sarcoidosis, Possible brain tumour, Spondylitis) - you name it, I was told I had it! It was only then, I was referred to radiology for an MRI of my brain and spine and I was then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

It’s been a weird few months, I’m trying to get to know a completely new body. A body I’ve not known for the past 33 years. I’m unable to do some ‘normal stuff’ for example, I can’t squat - like at all, and that really sucks because I used to love a heavy squat! I can no longer run, my balance is completely off, it affects my ability to drive, to walk and my hands now completely suck and I can’t trust them to do anything.

I can’t lie, the effect it’s had on me physically has been incredibly hard to come to terms with. One minute you’re relatively fit and healthy and the next you’re fighting for your life climbing the stairs.. what the fuck?! But I can deal with the physical burden, I’ve managed it for quite some time now! It’s the bit that no one talks about, the mental strain it has, and what a huge impact that has on your life. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so frightened, I have a disease that’s attacking me from the inside and there’s not much I can do about it! But what I can do, is raise some awareness!! I knew absolutely nothing about MS when I was diagnosed, nor did my family or my friends. But this disease effects 1 in every 400 people in the uk!!

So.. the charity fundraiser! Me and some friends are completing 5 hours of CrossFit workouts. Every hour on the hour ✌
