Graduating Class of Chaos 2020!
We all feel pride when our children, friends, and members of our community overcome extreme challenges and adversity and succeed.
Our lives changed dramatically with the loss of my marriage, home, and business of 24+ years. We were forced to move from Connecticut leaving behind family, friends, community, and even pets. We came to Tennessee so that our daughter Lydia could start high school with her cousins.
Through years of hard work and dedication, and with the support of family and friends, Lydia has turned adversity and life-altering challenges into successes and has reached an important milestone, graduation from Bearden High School. Lydia is an honor and AP student, an entertainment editor for her school newspaper, The Bark, has been an active volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley, and she is on her school's tennis team. Lydia was so excited to be accepted to Colorado State University, however, after realizing this was financially out of reach she decided to take this disappointment as just another bump in the road and charted a new course. She will succeed with your help!
To keep Lydia rolling on the road to college and future success, I have started this fundraiser to help buy Lydia a car. We are specifically looking at lower-priced cars at CarMax, a more reliable dealership, ranging from $6000-$8000. However, any amount donated will help us get that car. A car will make it possible for her to continue working and start community college in Connecticut. Lydia has been working at Target for a year and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. They have offered to transfer her to a Target in Connecticut. She will attend college there, while I establish residency in Arizona. She will then decide where she wants to continue her studies. Please show your pride in her accomplishment and your support for her future success and donate today. You will be making a big difference in the life of a promising young woman.
