Hello, my name is Amanda Jackson and my beloved niece, Latifa Brown, was shot and killed on Jan. 22, 2022. The perpetrator was her son's father and the man who held her in an abusive relationship for a decade. She leaves behind a 1-year-old son, two brothers, two sisters, her father, and many other family members and friends. Our family is devastated and are trying to gather together to celebrate her life properly. First, she needs to be brought home to Louisiana to be buried next to her mother (my sister). We need to raise funds for the funeral, burial, food, and travel expenses. We need to set up supports for her son, including a college fund. Finally, we want to donate funds in her name to our local domestic abuse shelter, and set up a scholarship in her honor. It takes a lot for me to ask for help, thank you for considering a donation.
