My mother passed away November the 20th, 2019, this year. It came as a shock to the family and have caught quite a few of us unprepared. While a few of my family members have pitched in to pay for her funeral expenses, we don't have enough to have her sent to her country and buried next to her parent's burial plot. Her body is yet to be buried and, me, personally, I don't know how any of this works or what happens when funeral homes keep a body for "too long." In this confusing and blurry, foggy time full of emotional swings, I hope I can help but feel limited, small, and powerless. 

I, personally, am unable to help fund this, and my sister has shared her frustration and concerns with me. I've never used a fundraiser and feel relieved something like this exists. It is my hope that in creating this campaign, I can help my family and feel at peace knowing that my mother who sacrificed so much for her kids could, in the end of her life, be next to her parents.
