People across Stroud Green, and indeed Haringey, were distressed to hear the news over Christmas that Stroud Green School had been broken into four times. Burglars stole thousands of pounds of educational equipment, making the difficult task of lockdown recovery even more complex and robbing students of some fantastic resources.
As a local secondary school teacher, I have seen the tremendous impact that SGS has had on the education of children in our area. I am also concerned that years of educational under-funding by the government, coupled with the effect of the pandemic and lockdowns as well as these break-ins, will set back the fantastic work of Stroud Green School.
I am, therefore, asking for your help. Please give any money you can to support the school – all funds will go to the school with the proceeds used to replace the equipment or towards projects to add further to the children’s learning.
We know that parents at the school have already given generously recently, so we are not asking them to give again unless they wish to.
In times of crisis, people in Haringey always rally around. Who can forget the fantastic efforts, from everyone across the Borough, during the pandemic? Stroud Green Primary needs our help this time. Let’s give what we can.
