Raising Funds to Raise Gary's spirits

Hello my name is Leslie Loftus. I am raising money for my husband Gary. On December 28th his world was turned upside down. He went in for a routine eye exam and was informed that he had a tumor behind his right eye. He was then referred Wills Eye. Our appt was on January 10th. After further testing, making sure the cancer had not spread any where else, which it did not. We met with the Dr.. She informed us that he had a form of eye cancer called Uveal Melanoma. It is a very aggressive form of eye cancer. She informed us that the tumor had progessed even farther behind the right eye than they expected and since it is a aggressive form of cancer and it could spread, the only option was to have the right eye removed. So surgery day was January 20th. It was a success. Next step is to get a prosthetic eye. We have appt in March for the prosthetic eye to be created and then put in. Which our health insurance will not cover the entire cost. They consider it cosmetic.

Gary and I met 6 yrs ago. It was love at first site. He is the love of my life.

I am starting with a goal of $4,000 to offset the out of pocket costs associated with his treatment. I am hoping these additional funds will be a tool to help me focus on Gary.
