Mae Jac yn fachgen annwyl sydd ond yn 24 oed, ac yn anffodus mae’n wynebu canser am y trydydd tro. Cafodd ei ddiagnosis cyntaf ychydig ar ôl ei ben-blwydd yn 21 oed ac mae wedi bod yn cwffio’r salwch ers hynny.
Dros y 3 mlynedd diwethaf mae Jac wedi cael dwy lawdriniaeth fawr, cemotherapi parhaus, ac mae bellach yn paratoi ar gyfer saith wythnos arall o radiotherapi dros cyfnod y Nadolig. Bydd rhaid cael radiotherapi mwy neu lai yn ddyddiol gan fod y canser yn anffodus wedi ddychwelyd.
Mae’n dorcalonnus pa mor anlwcus mae Jac wedi bod a faint mae wedi’i golli yn ystod blynyddoedd diwethaf, y blynyddoedd sydd i fod yn y rhai gorau o’i fywyd.
Rhwng triniaethau cyson, llawdriniaethau, teithio , a bod yn sâl iawn, mae wedi methu allan ar gymaint. Tydio byth yn cwyno, a ddim yn gofyn am help ac yn brwydro’n ddistaw bach.
Jac yw partner Aimee, merch fy nghyfnither, ac mae wedi bod yn hynod anodd i hi a’r teulu ei weld yn mynd trwy gymaint , mor ifanc. Does neb yn haeddu brwydro canser dair gwaith — yn enwedig rhywun mor ifanc.
Mae’r straen ar Jac a’r teulu yn cynyddu, yn enwedig gyda’r teithio parhaus i Christie’s ym Manceinion ar gyfer triniaeth. Nid yw Jac chwaith wedi gallu gweithio oherwydd y llawdriniaethau ddi-stop, y cemotherapi, a’r triniaethau barhaus.
Er mwyn cefnogi Jac a’i deulu yn ystod yr amser hynod anodd yma, mi fyddai yn rhedeg 5km bob dydd drwy gydol mis Rhagfyr i godi arian. Bydd unrhyw gyfraniad, yn gwneud gwahaniaeth ac yn helpu i leddfu rhywfaint ar y pwysau mae nhw’n ei wynebu.
Os oes gennych geiniog i’w sbario, rhowch yn hael os gwelwch yn dda.
Diolch o galon am eich cefnogaeth.
Jac is a much-loved young man who is only 24 years of age, and he is sadly facing cancer for the third time. He was first diagnosed shortly after his 21st birthday and has been fighting ever since.
Over the past few years, Jac has barely had a break from treatment. He has had two major operations, undergone continuous rounds of chemotherapy, and is now preparing to start seven weeks of radiotherapy — his second course of radiotherapy — which he will need more or less on a daily basis after the cancer returned yet again.
It is heartbreaking how sad and unlucky Jac has been, and how much he has missed out on during what should be some of the best years of his young life. Between constant treatments, surgeries, travelling for care, and being extremely unwell, he has had to sacrifice so much. Yet despite everything, he never complains and gets on with it quietly.
Jac is the partner of Aimee, my cousin’s daughter, and it has been incredibly hard for her and the whole family to watch him go through so much at such a young age. No one deserves to battle cancer three times — especially someone so young.
The strain on Jac and the family is growing, especially with the constant travel to The Christie in Manchester for treatment and to visit Jac. Jac has also been unable to work due to the relentless surgeries, chemotherapy, and ongoing treatment.
To help support Jac and his family during this extremely difficult time, I will be running 5km every day throughout December to raise funds. Any donation, no matter how small, will truly make a difference and help ease some of the pressure the family is under.
If you have even a penny to spare, please consider giving kindly.
Thank you so much for your support.
