Hi my names Katherine and I have recently been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma base of tongue.

For a few months I had a sore throat that wouldn't go away, went to the doctor about it twice, and was told I had a sinus infection.

I finally got a referral to a nose and throat specialist and turns out I have a tumour in my throat and lymph node.

This came as a total shock, and totally unprepared, I was running my own business and had recently lost all my staff. I was working 7 days a week on my own and the only people that could possibly cover for me were all away. I had to give all my clients away and begin treatment asap.

So I had cancer and lost my business.

Any funds I raise will help to cover the cost of fuel as its a 2 hour drive each way for treatments that goes for 7 weeks, 5 days a week.

I need radiation therapy and chemotherapy and a carer to drive me to treatment and look after me at home.
