Dear friends and kind-hearted supporters,

I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of Isaac Ugokpolor, a 48-year-old tailor in Benin City, Nigeria. Isaac has battled sickle cell disease all his life, and now suffers from a severe case of Avascular Necrosis (AVN) that has completely damaged his right hip joint.

Earlier this year, he underwent surgery to fix a broken femur caused by this condition — thanks to generous donations. But now, after a recent X-ray, his orthopedic surgeon has confirmed that Isaac urgently needs a total right hip replacement to stop the AVN from worsening and to give him a chance to walk again.

The cost of the surgery, medications, hospital bed, and recovery is ₦4,000,000 (approx. CHF 3,800 / $4,300 USD).

Isaac is currently bedridden, in pain, and unable to work. He has no insurance or external financial support. This surgery is his only hope for healing and independence.

We are humbly asking for your support. Any amount you can give — no matter how small — will go directly to Isaac’s medical care in Nigeria.
