Raising funds Honoring the Memory of Vincent
Donation protected
Our lives have been forever changed in ways we never thought possible. My heart, though broken, beats on with the life and love we shared. Vincent, I will treasure the time I was given with you forever.
I wish this post could have been the celebration I envisioned, but life had other plans. He wanted me to wait until he was sworn in next week to share the news. Vincent, my boy, was accepted into the Air Force on Friday. He was also presented with the incredible opportunity to join Space Force (my Mr. Smarty Pants) and his excitement was contagious. He was filled with tears of joy when he called to tell me the news. We celebrated with dinner that night. (photo at dinner) Saturday, he shared the news with the whole family, and I’m grateful I recorded everyone’s reactions. (mostly hearing his voice) Sunday he never woke up. He died in his sleep. I tried to give you my breath, to pump my life back into your heart, to fight for you even when all seemed lost. I prayed to God to give us more time, to let you fulfill your dreams. Though his time with us was cut short, his love, memories and amazing personality will forever be with those who knew him and loved him. I’m so grateful to call you my son, my boy, my Ben, my first true love of my life (but not my only…Victor & Sophia of course). Though it’s hard to accept. I’ll find a way to keep moving forward, to keep you with us forever. I’ll learn to breathe again, and I’ll keep your love in my heart forever.
Vincent, my beautiful boy, I will hold your hand forever. Sore the sky’s of heaven my Vinny, mama loves you.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Vincent's family. We will be celebrating Vincent's life on Sunday, February 16th 2025. We will be at Vacation Isle Park at the amphitheater from 1-7pm. Color Guard and Scout oath at 5:30pm with an open mic to follow. We want to honor him by doing something he loved dearly: a bonfire. While we know this is very short notice, we want to do this while our entire village is in town. We hope you can join us and are saddened if you cannot make it but we understand. Please come any time to give your respects to Vincent’s family.
