Wanda McClerkin passed away on July 23, 2021 at the age of 54. Wanda’s sudden departure from this world has rocked my family to the core. For those who don’t know, a little over a month ago Wanda was diagnosed with COVID-19. She was hospitalized due to severe respiratory issues. After a coughing spell one of her lungs collapsed. She wasn’t able to breathe in enough oxygen on her own, so she was put on a ventilator. The doctors also found that Wanda had MRSA pneumonia and her lungs were filled with fluid. Initially, the ventilator stabilized and even improved Wanda’s condition. She began breathing trials to get off the ventilator. But, her kidneys began to fail and all of her major organs followed. She passed away peacefully, sedated, in zero pain. My family visited her in the hospital, every day she was there. She was loved and will be missed forever.
