Why I’m Running a Half Marathon for Charity
Earlier in my life, I never imagined that I’d be facing cancer — and certainly not the physical and emotional toll it would bring. Going through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery changed my life in ways I’m still understanding. But it also gave me a deep appreciation for the incredible care I received, the research that made that care possible, and the resilience of others who are going through the same.
Now that I’m on the other side of treatment, I want to give something back.
That’s why I’ve set myself the challenge of running a half marathon — not just as a personal milestone after cancer, but as a way to raise money for a cause that means everything to me. I’m running in support of Testicular Cancer UK and the REME Charity, both of which supported me through tough times.
This isn’t just about the miles — it’s about hope, gratitude, and doing something positive now I’m a few years post treatment. Every step I take is for the people still fighting, the families supporting them, and the research that’s saving lives.
If you can, please consider supporting me. Every donation — no matter how small helps make a difference.
Thank you for reading and for being part of this journey with me.
