Raising Funds For Steve Polk's Kidney Donor

On October 28, 2019, Steve Polk will undergo a kidney transplant thanks to the generosity and sacrifice of a living donor. Steve’s donor is self-employed with a wife and children and will be unable to work while they recover from the surgery. So, our family is trying to raise $8,000 for the donor and his family to help with bills and living expenses during the 6 weeks they’ll be unable to work. While we will never be able to repay this donor for his selfless gift, we don’t want their generosity to cause a financial strain. Steve has been on the waiting list for a kidney for the past 8 months. The average wait time is five years, and unfortunately some people die waiting for a kidney.
