We are Macca, Gianluca and Preston and we will be raising money for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. Rockinghorse are the main fundraising arm for the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. They support the hospital by providing life saving equipment, specialist projects and services for sick babies, children and young people throughout Sussex.

If there was ever a situation where your child needed that level of support, the chances are it would be this heroic hospital that would support them.

Preston has experienced firsthand the support of Royal Alexandra Hospital when his son, Albie, was born prematurely at 29 weeks. The care and support they provided Albie when he came into the world was nothing short of amazing. Albie is now 5 and thriving!

For Preston becoming a parent and feeling helpless he felt motivated to give back when the time was right. That was when it come to Preston’s attention that it was Rockinghorse who raised funds to help this hospital provide the amazing care they do for many other children not just babies like Albie.

Macca and Gianluca are also now parents themselves and have both seen what the hospital and this charity have done for Preston’s family.

We are all excited to get to work in helping raise awareness for this charity by organising some great local events and fundraising for them.

The events will include a golf day, a football match, sporting challenges and of course the famous London Marathon! Some of the events are still being planned to take place before April.

Macca and Preston are really getting out of their comfort zone to increase their maximum running distance of 13 miles up to 26!!! When it comes to race day

Gianluca on the other hand is a more long distance runner, making his challenge equally as difficult by running the Manchester Marathon a week before the London Marathon!!!
