My son and I are facing an urgent situation and I’m hoping for some support while I stabilise things.

I’m a single mother and the full-time carer of my 6-year-old son who is neurodivergent with complex medical needs that require ongoing specialist care. Stability is essential for his health and wellbeing, and recent uncertainty has already begun to affect him emotionally and physically.

Over the past several years, I’ve worked incredibly hard to build a secure future for us. While caring for my son, I put myself through law school because I wanted strong foundations for our future and the ability to provide long-term stability for him. I’ve always tried to handle things independently and responsibly.

Unfortunately, a combination of circumstances beyond my control has left me in a very difficult position. Failures and delays from local services along with a deterioration in my health have caused financial disruption and impacted my ability to support us.

I’ve now exhausted my savings. My rent is due and I simply don’t have enough to cover it. With very limited funds left, I cannot meet rent, utilities, food, and basic living costs. My landlord is an individual who cannot absorb arrears, so without help we are at real risk of eviction and homelessness.

I am seeking £2,100 to cover rent and keep a roof over our heads while I address my health and resolve the issues with local services until I am able to return to work full-time and support us independently again.

The stress from our circumstances has begun affecting my own health. I’m awaiting an urgent MRI for new neurological symptoms, but my priority remains keeping stability for my son.

I am doing everything I can through the proper legal and support channels, but those processes take time I simply don’t have right now. This fundraiser is intended as short-term help so we can stay safe while I resolve these issues and continue advocating for the support my son needs.
