Raising funds for Project Favela

In February 2018 I am taking a six month break from my wonderful colleagues at Marks & Spencer and saying goodbye to my family and friends to head off on a sabbatical which will see me teaching at the wonderful Project Favela school in Rochina, Rio, the largest favela in Brazil.

Through a team of volunteers the school teaches children from ages 3- 13, providing them with educational opportunities as well as all-important mentoring. They do an amazing job in challenging conditions and are 100% reliant on charitable donations.

I really want to raise some funds for the school which they can put towards educational supplies for the kids including books and writing equipment.  The school has really limited resources so if I’m able to give them even a small amount of money, they can put it towards buying some really vital educational supplies.  You can see the kind of things they need on the Amazon wish list here-

I’d therefore love it if you can donate to my Go Fund Me page so I’m able to help the school with some of these items.  Any donation, however big or small, will be gratefully received.  Even if you can just go without your M&S coffee or gin in a can/Barry's Bootcamp shake/other high street coffee chain drink for one day and put the money towards a text book, it would really help to make a difference.

Big thanks
