On March 11 2017, Phil Hart suffered a severe stroke while alone in his home. When his son Scott arrived home from a night away, he found his father lying unconscious on the kitchen floor. He was rushed by ambulance to hospital. No one knows how long Phil was unconscious. As a result of the stroke, Phil has severe damage to his right side and is unable to speak. He will require several months away from home in a rehab Centre, and will need special care when he returns home. Phil has no workplace benefits, and risks losing the home and possessions that he has worked for all his life.
