I'm Keri Lawry and am a trustee of the (opening very soon!) New Cross Arts Centre South Petherton, Somerset. This is a brand new venture for August 2025 and we are looking forward to working with young adults with learning disabilities as they gain valuable life skills and training in retail and hospitality areas, improving confidence and skills along the way.

The start up costs have been huge as you'd imagine and I wanted to be able to do something to help in some small way to help this amazing project.

I'm a saxophone teacher and will be doing my 2 hour 'painful practiceathon' in August where I'll practice the areas of my playing that I'm weakest at and I've also invited my students to take part if they wish! I'm hoping that between us we can raise £1000 collectively by the end of August....fingers crossed!!!

I value any contribution, no matter how small and I appreciate the cost of living crisis is making life tough for many many people, but many small amounts do add up, so a huge thank you if you're able to contribute any amount.
