Hello everyone, my name is Hector Tinoco- Herrera. This past weekend has been one of the hardest times my family and I have ever faced. My dad, who’s only 41 years old, was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure. He’s now starting dialysis, and while we’re grateful he’s still with us and fighting, everything has changed. He was the head of our household, the one who paid the rent, covered the bills, and held everything together for our family. But now he won’t be able to return to work anytime soon, and we’re trying to adjust to this new reality while figuring out how to keep up with the rent, bills, and his medical needs. Right now, we’re also in the process of applying for financial help and insurance, but nothing is guaranteed, and we’re running out of time. Rent is due soon, bills are stacking up, and we’re doing everything we can to stay strong for him, especially with a 3-year-old little sister at home who still needs her dad more than ever. We’re a family of 7, and this sudden change has shaken us all. We’re asking for any help, even if it’s just sharing this. All the funds will go directly toward keeping our family afloat, covering rent, utilities, and medical expenses while we figure out the long-term plan for my dad’s care. Hola a todos, mi nombre es Hector Tinoco-Herrera. Este pasado fin de semana ha sido uno de los momentos más difíciles que mi familia y yo hemos enfrentado. Mi papá, que tiene solo 40 años, fue recientemente hospitalizado y diagnosticado con insuficiencia renal en etapa terminal. Ahora está comenzando la diálisis, y aunque estamos agradecidos de que aún esté con nosotros y luchando, todo ha cambiado. Él era el cabeza de nuestra casa, quien pagaba el alquiler, cubría las facturas y mantenía todo en orden para nuestra familia. Pero ahora no podrá regresar al trabajo en el corto plazo, y estamos tratando de adaptarnos a esta nueva realidad mientras tratamos de ver cómo cubrir el alquiler, las facturas y sus necesidades médicas.
