Raising funds for my cousin Demo's suicide

Hi, my name is Chrissy and I'm reaching out to help support my Cousin and closest friend, Erica (Sochor) Manus and her family. Erica's first born son, Demetrios “Demo” Manus Jr., tragically took his own life at the young age of 21. Struggles that many of us face, especially during this time of isolation with COVID has impacted so many. Demo, a very sweet, loving, smart and artistic man (a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend), chose to take his own life because the pain was too much on his own. These tragedies leave loved ones to bear what is left behind. I would like to help raise donations to help cover the needed expenses for Erica and her family. What many people do not know is that suicide is not covered under life insurance policies, so the family is left to cover the expenses on their own. This is painful to say, but this happened in Erica's apartment, the bedroom that Demo and his 11 year old brother Tommy shared. The pain is too deep for her and Tommy to return. She was able to find her and Tommy a new place but this introduces even more challenges, other than funeral expenses. Erica and Tommy live in Arkansas and had to bring Demo home to Ohio for burial services where most of our family lives. This along with breaking her current lease and over lapping rent, deposits, etc. is financially over whelming. Everything in Demo and Tommy's room are not salvageable. His bed, clothes, electronics, TV, toys and so many things are gone. He is a strong boy, but these are expenses people do not even consider. Especially the things that don't have any price, just memories. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help in any way you can. The 'goal' amount will never be enough to recover what was lost. Aside from covering needed expenses, spreading awareness for suicide prevention, depression and mental health is the family’s focus.
