Raising Funds For My Brother's Cancer Medical Treatments

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jack and I'm raising funds for my oldest brother, Sam. Sam is a 43 year old Dad of 2 and has been an avid sportsman his whole life. In April 2024, he was given a diagnosis of stage IV bowel cancer with spreads to his liver and lymph nodes.

At this point in time, Sam has endured 17 rounds of chemotherapy and continues his fight against this terrible disease amidst lots of uncertainty, while trying to carry on life as normally as possible.

At some point he will need a drug called Avastin (3rd line treatment) which isn't available for free on the NHS. He was quoted by his Broomfield oncologist between £5-10k per month for the drug & has since transferred care to St George's in Tooting, London where it's known to be cheaper but he now has additional accommodation & travel costs plus other medical costs.

On May 18th-22nd, 2025 I will be completing a 50 mile canoe ride down the River Wye with my good friends Matt Almond and Mick Speirs to raise funds for this incredibly important cause. I have never canoed before and to quote Matt "This ain't gonna be no jolly up mate!" but I am willing to put my body on the line (and film this epic adventure) so everyone can have a good laugh at my expense.

If you know my history with Matt and the sausage story you will likely get value for your donation with this one!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this - if you can't donate just sharing or supporting is also much appreciated and I look forward to the challenge.

Much love,

Jack & family
