Raising Funds for ‘Melting Point’, 16mm Short Film

Story:
Two brothers and their childhood friend are trapped inside a failing house, during the Southeastern Australian heatwave during January and February of 2009. The boys are forced to use their heads to survive the scorching temperatures and each other’s tempers.

The film is a period piece and will contain props & imagery from 2009 such as older TVs, the Wii, and the iPhone 3. Emphasis will be placed on creating an authentic and believable setting, which will be the house where the film will take place. The heat will also play a large part in the film, with DOP Sweeney Crabb working with the rest of the Crew to simulate the sweltering 40+ degree temperatures experienced in the summer of 2009.

Our Heads of Department:

Your Support:
Melting Point is a Swinburne student production captured entirely on 16mm film, an expensive but rewarding medium! All donations and funds raised will go directly into the budget, which will mainly comprise purchasing and processing of the 16mm film.
Your donations will allow us access & process to the amount of film we need tell our story, so any amount is greatly appreciated.

All donations will be credited at the end of the film.

Also, anyone who donates $50 or more will be eligible to receive a free signed poster when the film is finished (will increase in value when we become famous).
