Raising funds to take James to Mayo

Hi, I am Melanie and I am raising funds to be able to take my husband James to the Mayo clinic. He has been struggling with the general symptoms of MS, Parkinsons, and ALS for about 12 years. But, the disease process has taken a rapid toll in the past 5 years. The doctors he currently sees keep going down rabbit holes to silo each symptom he is experiencing, rather then viewing it all together.

We were provided the opportunity to travel to the Mayo clinic in October to see the Director of Neurology, and his team. They said they will need us there for 5-7 business days to perform all of the testing they suspect he needs.

Because of the short notice, and me being the only source of income for our family, funds are tight. I am just not able to cover this on my own.

So far we have been gifted the lodging for the entire 9 days, plus a flight through the Angel Flight network. However, due to the plane size being a Sesna or Piper we have had to change and consider the need to drive instead. Because James has severe motion sickness, vertigo, and the potential for seizures, a flight could pose a health risk.

With this in mind, we are asking for funds to cover a rental car for the full 9 days. Also we will need funds to cover gas to get there and back.

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot help with monetary support, prayers for the doctors to figure out everything would be helpful also.
