This little black cat has been wandering the streets of Laval for months — and he desperately needs help.
We first spotted him in the summer, injured with a large wound on his back. We posted about him at the time, but unfortunately we were unable to find a foster. At that moment, we had just rescued Leo, and we couldn’t find anyone to foster him either — which is why we ended up taking Leo in ourselves. With no foster available for this little black cat, we had no safe place to bring him after trapping.
Recently, he was spotted again in a local Laval Facebook group. His wound has gotten much worse, and with winter approaching, we knew he wouldn’t survive without intervention.
We shared him again — and this time, thanks to the incredible support of our community, we found a foster immediately.
Now we are moving fast.
✨ NEXT STEPS
Over the next couple of days, our trapper will attempt to safely trap him. As soon as we catch him, he will be brought straight to the vet for urgent medical care.
Right now, we do not know the full extent of his injuries.
We only know that:
• He has a significant open wound on his body
• It has been present since the summer
• He is likely feral or semi-feral, so his handling and treatment may be more complex
• He will require full vetting, pain management, and likely a longer recovery period in foster care
✨ WHY WE NEED HELP
Vet care for injured street cats is expensive — especially when wounds are old, infected, or severe.
We are fundraising to cover:
• Emergency exam & diagnostics
• Wound cleaning and treatment
• Medications
• Possible hospitalization
• Vaccines, deworming, parasite treatments
• Neutering, if he is stable enough
• Follow-up care during recovery
Every dollar directly helps this boy finally get the medical attention he has needed for months.
✨ THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who shared, reached out, and offered to foster.
This is what community looks like.
This is how lives are saved.
We can’t change his past — but with your help, we can give him a safe, healthy future.
Thank you for donating, sharing, and caring.
