Hi, my name is Kelsey and I am raising money on behalf of my sister, brother(in law) and their family dog. Her dog, Havoc had to be rushed in for emergency surgery on July 29th at 2 in the morning. His stomach was swollen and hard and he had started pacing, crying and throwing up. She knew something was seriously wrong and rushed 2 hours away to a 24hour veterinary clinic. The veterinarian assessed havoc, and took an X-ray. They confirmed that his stomach is flipped/twisted, told my sister he needed surgery and that there was still a chance he may not make it.

This is their first baby, their first pet. Havoc is an incredibly gentle dog and had provided nothing but loyalty and protection to his family. He deserves to have his life fought for which is why they made the decision to go ahead with the surgery.

Since this was in the middle of the night, the surgeon had to be called in to the clinic which has proven to be significantly more expensive than it normally would be. The bill is 6500 and could go up to 8000 depending on how bad it is. This is a huge blow to a family with only one income and I wanted to help in any way that I could.

The veterinarian surgeon told my sister so far that they were able to get the pressure off of his stomach and a lot of gas was released. He is going in for surgery now and will need to stay at the veterinarian for the next 36 hours at the least. They seem optimistic that she caught it and brought him in early enough to save his life. Havoc means a lot to me, too and I couldn’t imagine losing him. He still has a lot of life to live.

If there are donations not used for Havoc’s bill left over, it will be donated to a charity or organization that helps fund veterinary clinics so more dogs like Havoc can get a chance to survive.
