Raising Funds for Harley's IVVD Surgery

Dear Dog Lovers & Friends of Harley

After already paying thousands for Harley's diagnoses and treatment thus far, we find ourselves needing to reach out for help to save our beautiful boy who is battling with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) in his neck.

We have tried crate rest for 4 weeks already, with absolutely no signs of improvement and I might even say he is in more pain. This disc (C2/C3) has proved to be an issue previously (in South Africa) and we managed to treat it with crate rest then, however, I guess each time it happens it just gets worse and there is now a need to remove it before it does permanent damage to the spinal cord!

Harley's surgery was scheduled for Monday, 8 April 2024, but because his back legs suddenly became paralyzed on Saturdsy night, 6 April, we have had to take him to emergency and they will be operating first thing Sunday morning, 7 April…we are terrified as it is by no means a simple surgery!

We have found ourselves in a tough position as Harley's medical aid will not pay for the diagnosis, surgery or after care since it is a "pre-exisiting condition" and Harley has previously a successful surgery in South Africa for IVDD.

It is not an easy decision at all, but we have our tails between our legs and we're asking for some help!
