Raising funds for Gordon MacDonald
Donation protected
Gordon MacDonald, is presently in the hospital suffering from esophageal cancer that will very soon take his life. His wife,Wendy, has not left his side for the weeks he has been in the hospital. This diagnosis came unexpectedly and he is deteriorating quickly. Gordon and Wendy have no retirement savings or life insurance and do not have the means to cope with the unexpected expenses that are ahead. Gordon has always been known for his kindness, smile and sense of humor as well as his willingness to help give a hand to anyone when needed. Unfortunately they now need some generosity in return. Gordon and Wendy met, married, and had 3 children at a young age. Wendy has been with Gordon since she was 17 years old. Both of them worked hard to provide their children with the best life they could and did a incredible job. They have not had an easy life, but have supported their family and stayed by each other's side, celebrating their 50th Anniversary 2 years ago.
Gordon has always made friends no matter where he visited or lived and until recently was usually found helping out or just having coffee with friends at the Lawrencetown restaurant. He often seen riding his lawn tractor down the street to help a neighbor in need. He was a man of all trades, but was well known for for his beautiful work as a licensed carpenter. In 2002 he was diagnosed with chronic leukemia which he has fought bravely all this time, sometimes enduring more than any person should have to, but this new cancer is an opponent he cannot defeat.
We are asking for donations to help provide this loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, the simple yet beautiful funeral he deserves and help his wife with the immediate living costs she will have after he passes. It breaks our hearts to have to ask for help, but every donation will be appreciated no matter how much and every cent will go to his funeral costs and Wendy's future needs as she adjusts to life without her husband. We can't thank you enough and God bless you all. From the family of Gordon MacDonald.
