Raising funds for Elisama Resendez's Cancer Battle

Elisama is a wonderful single mother to 2 boys and 2 girls who has been actively fighting a cancer diagnosis since 2008. Around June 2013 her cancer became metastatic which means the cancer began to spread to other areas and her medical situation became more dire. Needless to say fighting cancer can be a tough and long ordeal and doing so for so many years has devastated Elisama's finances.
I first met Elisama in October of 2015 through the company I work in as we provide a financial resource to individuals suffering from late stage illnesses. Elisama had qualified into our program and we were able to provide her with financial help which resulted in Elisama being able to purchase a car to drive to her treatment center and to work instead of taking the bus which was a 2 hour ordeal. The financial help also allowed her to pay down some of her medical bills which, in most cases, can be the main cause of stress. Elisama and I have been in touch ever since and I've always tried to give her words of comfort as she dealt with the many happenings in her life.
In the earlier part of this year Elisama was evicted out of her apartment. Using her last savings she began living in a motel and subsequently stayed in a friends living room for a short stay. As a last resort Elisama resulted to living out of her car as she thought going to a Shelter would prove to risky for her two teenage daughters.
Just when you thought it couldn't get hard enough, Elisama was informed that her job would no longer accommodate her approved leave of absence and she was terminated from her job on May 31, 2019.
I had been planning fundraising activities when I found out that Elisama was living out of her car but when she lost her job I decided to take immediate action. This GoFundMe page is to help Elisama and her family out in a time of great need. Any donation would help her and her family gain some stability and allow Elisama to concentrate on staying healthy to fight her disease.
