Raising funds for Ek food bank & The Aplastic Anemia trust

Hi, I'm Allan and on May 25th I'll be running my first marathon and I'm doing it in aid of East Kilbride Community food bank and The Aplastic Anemia Trust. Two amazing charities that do great work.

I've seen first hand what the people at East Kilbride Community foodbank do and how much of their free time and how much effort they put in to help out those who need it. For those who rely on the foodbank I've no idea what they would do without it and for the people who run it every week it's a struggle for them to meet the ever growing demand.

The reason I've chosen The Aplastic Anemia Trust as my other charity, is 5 years ago my good friend Conor lost his Mum, Sandra to Aplastic Anemia. Now knowing what him and his family went through during that period I'd like to raise money to help anyone who might be going through that now and to also raise awareness of Aplastic Anemia.

As I write this, I've never ran further than a half marathon and I'm 10 weeks out from race day.
